Topic: Back to School - Balance and Structure
Description: It's officially back to school season which means kids everywhere are sleeping in for the final days of summer vacation before needing to get back to a routine in their day. But just because we're done with school doesn't mean we shouldn't also reassess our routines and figure out how to best structure our workdays. Our topic this month is all about how we organize our time at work. Do you check emails from your phone first thing in the morning? Are you answering the phone yourself whenever it rings, or do you have staff pick up your calls to screen them for you? Will you take a random call whenever it comes in, plan to call people back at certain times of day, or strictly schedule phone meetings on your calendar? How do you choose which client files to prioritize? Do you try to enforce boundaries and maintain "office hours" and stop calls or emails with clients after a certain time? What happens on the weekends or holidays as it relates to your schedule and interactions with clients, staff, or opposing counsel? How do you find balance in your business day and structure your working time to be the most efficient?
Our TEN Sherman Oaks Zoom meetings have become a time to come together to grow, both professionally and also personally. We are here to work on ourselves and develop our businesses, and the best resource we all have is one another. So, please join us for this casual meeting where we can come together and share, learn, and grow. Is there a tricky matter you’re dealing with for which you’d like advice? Do you have an issue with a co-worker you don’t know how to handle? Is there something new in your area of practice that would be beneficial to share with the group? Or would you just like to be around friends for camaraderie during your lunch hour? Join your colleagues who have been there, done that, or who can at least be a source of advice, venting, or just support.
