About the Moderator
Alexis D. James
Alexis James has practiced employment law in California for more than 14 years. She is co-owner of the firm, WorkWise Law, PC, which provides counsel to small businesses (2-250 employees) on their employment compliance requirements. They specialize in drafting of employee handbooks, sexual harassment/wage and hour training, workplace investigations, interactive process facilitation, conflict resolution, and litigation.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy at Duke University, and completed law school with honors at Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College. Alexis and her business partner, Renee Noy, are the preferred employment law partners of the Los Angeles County Medical Association.
Alexis is married with two kids. She enjoys travel, playing the piano and all things Italian.
