About the Moderator
David A. Shaneyfelt represents policyholders in disputes against insurance companies. He was formerly a shareholder with the New York-based law firm of Anderson Kill, one of the nation’s leading firms representing private and public entities in coverage disputes against insurance companies.
His representative cases and matters include the recovery of insurance benefits (defense and indemnity) for employment practices liability (EPLI) cases, wage and hour class actions, director and officer (D&O) liability, public entity liability, professional malpractice, reinsurance, accidental death insurance, lifetime disability, as well as coverage for homeowner’s insurance, property damage, and loss of business income. For more than thirty years, he has handled a wide-variety of complex litigation matters in state and Federal courts across the country and formerly served as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Civil Division, in Washington D.C.
