Biography

Maya Shulman offers legal representation in complex matters of custody, adoption, surrogacy and entangled divorces for residents of California and abroad. Ms. Shulman strongly believes that out-of-court resolution should be the new normal and is a big proponent for confidential out-of-court judicial proceedings.

Ms. Shulman studied medicine at the Medical Academy in Latvia; earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Brooklyn College in 1995; and then went on to earn her Juris Doctor in CA in 1999. A former family law instructor at the paralegal program at the Los Angeles Valley College, Ms. Shulman is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and California; before the Supreme Court of California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U. S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Shulman is a member of the family law sections of The Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties and the American Bar Associations. Ms. Shulman is a member of The International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists.
