Biography

Marc Weitz began his career on Wall Street, holding positions at Lehman Brothers, AIG, and Morgan Stanley, where he focused on fixed income and structured products. He later joined Financial Management Advisors in Los Angeles, managing portfolios and advising on distressed debt, bankruptcies, and corporate credit. Before founding his own law practice, Marc served as a senior associate at Chanin Capital Partners, a prominent financial advisor to debtors and creditors in complex restructuring and bankruptcy matters.

Marc is an active member of the Los Angeles legal and financial communities. He belongs to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb), and the CFA Society. He is licensed to practice law in California (Bar #242830), admitted to all U.S. District Courts in California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a licensed California real estate broker (DRE #02056127).

He earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Outside of work, Marc is an avid traveler who has visited over 120 countries. He is also a published novelist, passionate cinephile, and devoted reader who enjoys discussing film and literature. When outdoors, he can often be found hiking or trail running.
