Biography

Kevin Zietz has been practicing law since 1996. He has spent the better part of the last 25 years representing individuals who have been denied benefits by insurance companies providing coverage to people under disability, long-term care, and/or life insurance policies. Kevin represents clients who have purchased an insurance policy to insure their income so that they have protection in the event that they become unable to work due to a physical and/or mental impairment. His long-term care clients have insured against the possibility that one-day they will need assistance in their home with performing activities of daily living. His life insurance clients are people who are typically the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. The common denominator in Kevin’s practice is that his clients have usually spent years paying premiums to an insurance company for the peace of mind that usually comes with purchasing this type of protection. Unfortunately, in their time of need, the insurance company has decided that benefits are not payable. Kevin represents the sick, the infirm, the disabled, and grieving beneficiaries of the deceased, after they have presented a claim to the insurance company, and that claim has been denied.
Unfortunately, all too often after a person experiences the denial of an insurance claim, they try to handle the matter on their own. Many become frustrated and angry, and oftentimes they just give up which means the insurance company keeps their money. When these people find a lawyer like Kevin who is devoted to helping people fight for their benefits, they get help navigating the process of pursuing the benefits they so rightfully need, and deserve. Kevin has been leveling the playing field against large insurance companies taking on most, if not all, of the major disability, long-term care, and life insurance carriers in the country. He has represented clients in these matters in state courts throughout California, and in federal courts from coast to coast. Today, Kevin wil be speaking about long-term care insurance claims; what it is, why these claims get denied, and cautionary tales that people with this kind of insurance can learn from so that mistakes can be avoided when pursuing long-term care benefits.
