Bret represents clients in business matters involving corporate law, real estate, intellectual property and employment. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University and his undergraduate degree in Finance from Brigham Young University. His business degree assists him in understanding the financial and real-world impact of his clients’ business and legal issues. Bret has significant experience defending businesses and individuals in a variety of business disputes. He is an experienced litigator, but also counsels clients faced with day-to-day business problems in order to avoid litigation.

Prior to working at FCOP, Bret worked at a bankruptcy litigation boutique where he represented creditors committees, disbursing agents and other entities in large commercial bankruptcy proceedings.

The Pacific Coast Business Times named Bret one of it’s “40 Under 40” in 2011. He was recently included in the 2014 Southern California Rising Stars List of Super Lawyers. He is active in the community as a coach and in various leadership capacities. He is also currently serving on the board of the CPA/Law Society and the board of the Association for Corporate Growth’s 101 Chapter. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his wife and kids.
