Topic: Palimony Updates by Carol Newman.

Speaker Bio: Before opening her own law firm in 1994, she was a partner in two law firms, Rosen, Wachtell and Gilbert and the national law firm Keck, Mahin & Cate. After having her own law firm for 18 years, Carol became a partner in the law firm of Alleguez & Newman, LLP in 2012 with Tina M. Alleguez. By the addition of Gary Goodstein in December of 2018, the firm became Alleguez Newman Goodstein, LLP. In addition to her experience with real estate law and business law, she has extensive experience with palimony law (“Marvin” Cases) which deal with the legal issues relating to unmarried couples. She focuses now primarily on the defense of palimony cases. Carol is also expert in the prevention of palimony issues with the drafting of written cohabitation agreements.
